Business Development Intern | Fall '25-Current
Cal Esports is UC Berkeley's premier organization for competitive and recreational gaming. It is home to the Cal Esports Gaming Center, which is open to all Berkeley students and features premier recreational gaming tech.
As a Business Development Intern for UC Berkeley's Recreation and Wellbeing department, I also work on the marketing team for Cal Esports, an organization under our recreational facilities. As an intern, I work mainly on social media graphics, event materials, and designing exclusive Cal Esports merchandise.
As an avid gamer, working with Cal Esports is a dream because I get to work in tandem with one of my biggest hobbies.

I designed the Cal Esports competitive team jerseys for 2026-2027. I included our classic Blue and Gold school colors and bear fang imagery in the design for a clean, tech-wear ook.
Open house

In the Spring, the Cal Esports Center hosts an Open House event, showcasing the center's gaming facilities to students. The event contains a prize raffle, free food, and an exclusive Cal Esports X Mtn. Dew collaboration hoodie.
For Spring 2026, I took on the task of designing the entire Open House social media campaign. This consisted of countdowns and the promotion of the hoodie giveaway.
For the theming of the campaign, I chose a neon cyberpunk style, which strongly references gaming culture.
gaming expo

Gaming Expo is Cal Esports's annual convention hosted at our Recreational Sports Facility at the start of the Fall Semester, at the same time as Caltopia. Several Cal Esports student organizations come to table and introduce their club to new students.
For Gaming Expo 2026, I designed an exclusive giveaway T-shirt (click here to view case study) and a set of video-game themed bear characters to be produced as stickers and keychains.
All collateral was hand illustrated in Procreate and then vectorized in Illustrator.
UCEI

UC Esports Initiative, also known as UCEI, is an annual convention where all 9 UCs come together in one place to compete in gaming tournaments.
For UCEI 2026, I designed the event name badges and a set of UC-specific themed keychains.
