UCB RecWell
Business Development Intern | Fall '25-Current
UC Berkeley Department of Recreation and Wellbeing, also known as as RecWell, is responsible for all recreational exercise and sports facilities on campus. As a part of the Business Development team, we are responsible for all marketing aspects of RecWell, including social media management, event material design, and web/email edits. On the business side, we promote sponsorship events with companies like Bubly and Uber Eats via social media content. On the recreational side, we design graphics to increase awareness of our recreational facilities and fitness classes.
As a Business Development Intern, I've been able to work on some exciting creative design projects, such as designing horse-themed keychains for our Lunar New Year celebration. Working at the RecWell has been influential in helping me understand how to maintain brand systems while also leaving room for fun and creativity.
Caltopia 2026
Tools Used: Procreate
Caltopia is UC Berkeley's annual sponsorship convention hosted at our Recreational Sports Facility at the start of the Fall Semester. Hundreds of brands and exhibitors come to promote their services to new and returning students, including Ikea, United, and Bubly.
For Caltopia 2026, I took on the role of designing giveaway keychains for the event, and a set of bear-themed trading cards.
Lunar New Year

To celebrate Lunar New Year, the department hosted a fun, pop-up event at our university's largest gym. This event consisted of a keychain giveaway, in which students won year of the horse themed keychains by winning pin the tail on the donkey/horse. I hand illustrated a year of the horse themed keychain. I also designed the flyer promoting the event, and the game materials like the blindfolds.

I had the wonderful opportunity to design a T-shirt for our Cal Adventures Team, the staff responsible for managing our windsurfing, rock-climbing, paddle-boarding, and sailing classes down at the Berkeley Marina. For this shirt, I was requested to include elements of the Bay, ocean, and mountains.

Our social media accounts are run by a team of interns who are assigned to design various graphics, such as promoting fitness classes, sponsorship events, and recreational facilities.
These graphics have to be adopted across various platforms, like Instagram, X, email, and FusionWave.
